The Superintendent is responsible for monitoring and controlling safety, health, and quality standards on construction projects. This role supports the Project Manager with budgeting and plays a key role in coordinating field operations. Responsibilities include direct involvement in vendor and supplier coordination for the procurement of materials and equipment to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to high-quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to determine project requirements
Establish and manage project schedules, goals, and milestones
Plan and oversee the construction process from start to finish
Supervise field staff and provide direction and feedback
Monitor and report on daily and overall project progress
Implement and enforce safety and quality standards on-site
Coordinate inspections and obtain required permits from local authorities
Track material inventory and manage orders
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
Identify and resolve on-site issues and construction challenges
Manage and coordinate subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and maintain a minimum two-week look-ahead schedule, updated weekly
Verify layout accuracy for plumbing, walls, elevations, and related scopes
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must maintain punctual attendance and meet all performance expectations, including deadlines, scheduled work hours, and assigned responsibilities.
