We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of a large fleet of utility-grade equipment. This role leads shop operations, preventative maintenance programs, and repair strategy while providing hands-on troubleshooting and field support as needed.
The Fleet Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime and supporting field production. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires experience managing both personnel and complex equipment fleets in construction or utility environments.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations
Oversee maintenance of 300+ units of utility-grade equipment.
Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
Maintain equipment reliability and uptime.
Service equipment to minimize operational downtime.
Personnel Management
Lead and manage a team of 5+ mechanics.
Coordinate shop workflow, labor scheduling, and technical support.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
Lifecycle Management
Recommend equipment replacements and purchases.
Support fleet planning to accommodate company growth.
Vendor & Cost Management
Manage outsourcing decisions for specialized repairs.
