Sr. Radio Frequency Engineer
Job Summary  
Seeking an experienced Senior Radio Frequency (RF) engineer to join our dynamic wireless communications team, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, planning, deploying, and troubleshooting Land Mobile Radio (LMR), private LTE (pLTE), Microwave, and Narrowband networks in the electric, gas, and water utility space.   
Independently develops and applies advanced RF knowledge, concepts, and approaches to unique RF problems, such as interference. With over 10 years of experience,\ you will leverage your deep knowledge of RF to lead engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity or serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing RF guidance and expertise.  
The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with leading industry vendors, and enhance wireless communication systems in the utility space. This role involves occasional travel to client sites for inspecting, testing, and meetings. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities  
As a Senior RF Engineer, you will oversee the end-to-end RF engineering lifecycle for company's utility and other clients, from initial site surveys and system modeling to deployment, testing, and optimization. You will serve as the go-to SME for LMR and Microwave technologies, providing technical guidance on propagation modeling, interference mitigation, and spectrum management. 
The Senior RF Engineer may offer technical advisory and consulting services to company’s clients. Additionally, you should be able to support business development and pursuit activities, including creating proposal, scope, level of effort estimation and implementation plans. Leads and participates in project execution and technical delivery. 
 
Skills: 
Typically, a minimum of 11 years wireless communications related work experience. Utility experience preferred.  
 
Skills and Preferred Technical Competencies: 
- Advanced knowledge of RF design and engineering design principles, guides and standards. 
- Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision 
- Specific product knowledge and hands-on configuration experience on a variety of radio vendors is preferred. 
- Advanced knowledge of various wireless technologies, such as LMR, Microwave, and LTE. 
- Experience with configuring and testing wireless systems. 
- Experience with technical proposals 
- Knowledge of, or experience with configuring RF/Microwave radio equipment is a plus

Education: 
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
